Indicates the functions included in Animation Editor plug-in and the mark I can see me going into Hexagon to weld them together which sort of defeats the object of having bought props.Note: Marvelous Designer 2 has all the functions listed below except for This time the object and its label are imported correctly, as shown in Figure 5. I don't want to save it as a prop, subscene, subprop or whatever as it is already a prop bought from a vender i just want it to stick to the candle stick so i can move it around a scene i have. These are physical objects of interest dotted around the game world. I was doing this in DS 4 last week but for some strange reason when i do it now, the candle centres on the middle candlestick, if i change parent to candlestick it does the same, if i make a Null and parent the candlestick to this the candle stick turns upside down. The first and most numerous of the collectibles are the Treasures - 109 in total. So back to the problem, in DS 3, if i wanted to parent one prop one to another i could and it became one object, example a candle on a candlestick, i don't want to move each candle in turn i want to move one objedt. The UV models are crap and if you ever used. The obvious reason for this is because Adobe couldn't afford the resources -this why they expect you to use opacity maps to create holes versus boolean. Ok sorry this is now five year old thread, but for many trouble free years i was using Daz 3 Advanced, till one day something happen and i lost the camera, ended up with a line across the screen, even a new hard drive hasn't solved it, so as i already had DS 4.9 i started using that, sort of getting use to it before moving on to the latest version. There is NO way to seamlessly connect objects in Dimension that I have found - in fact even finding this page was like going on a scavenger hunt. The weird thing is, if I bring in the model as a PP2 (that I parented in Poser), I can save it as a DS Prop Asset and it will stay parented after its saved. All I'm trying to do parent a really simple prop to an even simpler one, but DS keeps serving up a big steaming plate of NOPE. I looked up a bunch of threads here and it seems like they all are trying to smart prop rigged props to figures. You can set the material to use the same texture in both models. ![]() The two objects will move /scale together, with a single control if you select the group or individually if you select either object. I've tried with just the main prop selected and with both the prop and sub prop (parent/child) selected and neither will unlock that check box or save parented. If they are both in the same 3D layer you can select both in the 3D panel and then right click and choose 'Group objects'. When I'm trying to save as a prop asset, I see that there is a check box for "Smart Prop", but it won't check. But if I go to save it as a prop asset, it either saves the statue or the base. I parented the base to the statue (by dropping the base onto the statue). Enable XP compatibility mode in P3dOExplorer. 2 solutions: - On Vista: Remove Morph Manager plugin, delete MorphManager.c3d from P3DO Explorer plugins directory (On Windows 7: Morph Manager is not loaded anymore). Most of the time I convert my models into props in Poser first, then bring them into DS and tweak the materials, but since Superfly seems to messing up the materials more then Firefly, I decided to just import the OBJs into DS and skip Poser.īut I can't seem to save the props as parented. One some Vista and Windows 7 machines (especially 64 bits version) P3DO may be locked or crash or is slow. ![]()
